You may need to see hidden files if you're having problems setting up a poker client or registering poker softwares. This can also help you out if you or Holdem Manager can't find where Ongame (Bwin, Redkings, Betsson etc.) hand histories are written to (http://forum.rakerace.com/showthread.php?161-Here-is-how-you-can-find-where-Ongame-hand-histories-are-saved-to&p=457#post457). Windows 7
To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:
Close all programs so you're at the desktop.
Click the Windows start button. (Bottom Left Windows graphic)
Type in Hidden
Run the Show Hidden Files and Folders program.
In the View Tab under Advanced Settings, look for the Hidden Files and Folders folder.
Make sure Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives is checked.
Click Apply.
Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.

2. Click on the Start button. This is the small round button with the Windows flag in the lower left corner.
3. Click on the Control Panel menu option.

Double-click on the Folder Options icon.
Click on the View tab.
Go to step 5.
If you are in the Control Panel Home View do the following:
Click on the Appearance and Personalization link.
Click on Show Hidden Files or Folders.
Go to step 5.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
6. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types.
7. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
8. Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.
Now Windows Vista is configured to show all hidden files.
