Welcome here!
Where do u play? Full ring or short handed?
Maybe you'll want to increase the table numbers (if u play SH up to 4-5, or if u play FR up to 6-8). It would raise your winrate:)

thx:) i play at party at the moment at nl2 full rings, since party doesn't have 6-max tables on nl2. but im about to register to stars as well pretty soon, so i'll switch to 6-max there and sure, increase table numbers. 3 is what i can manage atm. any advice concerning pokerstars?:)

I won't advise PS for micro stakes. Too many OK regs. They aren't really good (they've got some leaks), but it's hard to win medium-big pots from them (only in cooler situation). I think Ongame network (like bwin), or Partypoker is better. If u want to go to a big poker room I think FTP is better than PS, 'cos at FTP u can get rakeback (not a lot of $$$, but a little plus help for BR building). PS has got cashback, milestone bonus, etc, but it's only useful at higher levels (like NL50/100+). If u play NL2 SH, 30K/months I guess u'll get 10$ cash bonus. With rb it can be 20-25$ imo:)

Hi tob1n!
I would absolutely agree with Holdenper's advice...dont move to stars, rather choose Boss, or ongame, lastly Full Tilt. Believe me it's so much more easier to climb the stakes if u have plus BI-s from RB, FD bonus, RK race!

Daaaaamn:D ok, it's too late for me now, i registered to stars (since i use a mac and didnt want to reg to a win-only site) and deposited $50. im a student so i kind of have to wait another month to get enough cash to deposit into another room like something on ongame or boss...I still have $10 on Party though, i figure i could try to use that...but im still in the very early stages of poker so i guess i have to stick to a very tight style and try to go for fat value, and see what happens...
do you have any advice how can i "survive" stars?:D

Withdraw.:D
Btw, There are plenty of sng-s below 1$, so you have a very good chance to survive. Or if you wanna play cash there's 2nl...maybe 25bi-s will be enough if you don't have to face a hard ds. GL!

Yeah, NL2 isn't that bad at stars, like 75/25 fish/reg ratio, NL5 is fine also 65/35 fish/reg, but at NL10 it's almost 50-50 (ok, that regs aren't really good, but they aren't huge fishes). I think at NL2 with a solid TAG game (like 16/14/4) u can have ~10-20bb/100 (if ur good/ok postflop) in SH. And ~10-15bb/100 with a nitty game (around 13/11/3) in FR. Maybe more...I dunno, I only played NL5 at stars.

ok, now i'm less freaked out :) So as i understand you advise to play SH instead of FR NL2? And also, what is the best way to learn such ultra-nitty TAG game? The stuff in the beginner books like the Ryan Fee and the Verneer?
