One of the most excited part of poker are big bets and their heroic calldowns. Sometimes heroes go on the wrong way and fall down but when they rise up, we will remember their names forever.

i hope we can create a nice collection here. Here is one of my favourites to start off:

I doubt many of poker players would be brave enough to call the godfather of poker down as Doyle definitely isnt on the maniac side!:)

This is my all time favourite. It happened in a $50,000 Heads-up freezout in 1990. Stuey reads his opponents soul!

Stacks:
Stu Ungar: ~60,000
Mansour Matloubi: ~40,000
Blinds: 200/400

Hands:
Matloubi:5-4o in the BB
Ungar:10-9o in the SB

Preflop:
Ungar raises to 1,600, Matloubi calls.

Flop (pot 3,200): 3-3-7 rainbow
Matloubi checks, Ungar bets 6,000, Matloubi calls.

Turn (pot 15,200): K, board still rainbow
Matloubi checks, Ungar checks.

River (Pot 15,200): Q
Matloubi moves all-in for about 32,000 and Ungar calls within a few seconds, declaring, "You've either got 4-5 or 5-6, I call." Ungar then flips up his 10-high to drag the $80,000 pot.

After this sicko calldown Matloubi decided not to play Ungar ever.

Maybe Stuey motivated so much durrrr that he tries to run a sick calldown v Negreanu on a ghostly similar board but he failed this time since Daniel had top pair.

Yeah the Dwan 9 high call is sick. He thought that negranu was in with some sort of low suited connector so he just went with his read. Respect. Even more respect since he didn't call him on the micros. There are few people on the world who are capable of making calls like that.

And about the Stu Ungar hand. Well I still think that he was the best player far around that time. And he would maybe still be if he wouldnt have do that much powder...Too bad.

Pi :)

This one belongs to the greatest calls of Patrik Antonius. He shows up a nice bluffcatch versus Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese as he puts his opponents on a busted draw.
