Hey guys. Played this hand few days ago and some questions popped in my head during the process.

BTN: 2,790 (46.5 bb)
SB: 1,270 (21.2 bb)
BB: 955 (15.9 bb)
UTG+2: 1,895 (31.6 bb)
MP1: 2,225 (37.1 bb)
MP2: 1,135 (18.9 bb)
Hero (MP3): 1,335 (22.3 bb)
CO: 1,895 (31.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with :Ah: :Qs:
3 folds, Hero raises to 150, CO calls 150, 3 folds

Flop: (390) :4c: :Qd: :Ac: (2 players)
Hero bets 150, CO calls 150

Turn: (690) :3c: (2 players)
Hero bets 300

Villain plays 25/6/1.3 over 54 hands so pretty loose passive.

So there we are on the turn with a pretty hand but I wonder what should we do if he raises us? I mean we bet 300 the pot becomes 990 and we have 735 behind which makes us kinda committed.

I wonder if a smaller bet is better or betting 300 is cool. I don't feel quite comfortable calling when a passive player like him makes a move on me.

Since I'll never be able to fold this hand I prefer betting bigger:D It's just something like: okay whatever I'm gonna commit myself because no way Im folding:D

Yeah betting bigger on the flop makes sense because if I think about it the board is pretty drawy and you shouldn't really give cards cheap.

Bet/call is really standard here. Villain often pushes a worse hand. For example a hand like pair + draw.

I really do not like your flop and turn bet size. You make him easy to draw on you cheaply.

Yeah well during the hand I was thinking that the flop wasn't THAT drawy. I mean there are some flushdraws in his range and some gutshots and pretty much thats it. Another thing what I considered was that I already have 2 blockers on him having an A or a Q which lowers the % of his range what is worse than our hand and will continue vs a big bet. I was betting ~ half pot on flop basically because I wanted him to call with lower pocket pairs too. Obviously with that move I risk being called with draws more often.

Another thing to think about is that fishes usually don't let draws go no matter how much you bet so why not bet smaller, let him continue with a wider range and slow down if one of the magic cards hit.
