Nikon vs. Canon

Hi there,

I'm just about to buy a new DSLR camera for around $900-$1000, and i'm not sure which to choose. i already owned a full manual fuji s7000, but i need more juice:P so which do you guys prefer? nikon or canon? my 2 alternatives are the Canon EOS 550D

and the Nikon D5100.

The Nikon is a bit pricier, but gives 3 years warranty. though its technical specs arent as impressive as the canon's. any experienced photographers out there? what's the difference? which is better? thx!

never mind, i chose the canon, because its higher specs, and better reviews. anyway, i'm planning on buying an external flash

any experiences with the canon 430 ex II
