I've just tought about it...what is the right range here to calling the squeeze.

Actually, I have greater implied odds, because villiain has better hands in squeeze pot than a 3bet pot, so he will likely pay of my set.

What do you think?

I would 3bet pf otb with 88, especially in a 4handed game. This way u don't get squeeze, u have position, and u were the preflop agressor, so u will win more pots without SD. If the CO calls it's a sure call, 'cos u can setmine againts 2 full stack people, the implied odds are huge.
Againts a squeezer it's pretty marginal. If he's TAG (like 15/13 or below, and 3bet is 0-3, squeeze 0-1,5) u can call, because he's not just make a move, he's strong (maybe AK, QQ+), so if u hit ur set, u r gonna to be paid, if he's laggy i would fold.

But this is a questionable situation. I don't think that either calling or folding can be a huge mistake

I agree. If the enemy is nit/tag this call will be good. You have many io.
